Install eSIM on iPhone
Step-by-step guide for installing a SILENS eSIM on iPhone or iPad.
Before you start
Confirm the following before beginning installation: • Your iPhone supports eSIM • The device is carrier unlocked for international use • Your phone is connected to Wi-Fi or mobile data • Your SILENS QR code or manual activation details are ready • Battery is above 20% Important: • eSIM profiles are typically single-use • Installation requires an active internet connection
Method 1 - Install with QR Code (Recommended)
This is the fastest and most reliable installation method. Step 1 Open Settings. Step 2 Tap Cellular or Mobile Data. Step 3 Tap Add eSIM. Step 4 Select Use QR Code. The camera scanner will appear. Step 5 Scan the QR code provided with your SILENS order. Ensure the code is fully visible and in focus. Step 6 Your iPhone will connect to the carrier server and download the eSIM profile. This typically takes 10-60 seconds. Step 7 Follow the prompts to: • confirm the new cellular plan • label the line (optional) • choose how the line will be used Step 8 Once installation finishes, the new line will appear in your SIM list.
Method 2 - Manual Installation
If QR scanning is not available: Step 1 Go to: Settings -> Cellular Step 2 Tap Add eSIM Step 3 Choose Enter Details Manually Step 4 Enter the activation details from your SILENS order: • SM-DP+ Address • Activation Code Step 5 Confirm and wait while the device downloads the profile.
After installation
Label the line You may assign a label such as: • Travel • Data • SILENS This helps manage multiple SIM profiles. Select preferred usage If you use multiple SIMs, choose which line will handle: • Mobile Data • Calls • SMS For data-only plans, select the SILENS line for data only. Check roaming settings For many international plans, Data Roaming must be enabled. Go to: Settings -> Cellular -> SILENS Line -> Data Roaming Wait for network registration The signal indicator should appear within 1-2 minutes. If not, restart the device.
Troubleshooting
QR code not working Possible causes: • profile already installed • poor camera focus • unstable internet connection Try scanning again under better lighting. Line added but no connectivity Try the following: • restart the device • toggle Airplane Mode on and off • verify Data Roaming settings Activation stuck or pending If activation does not complete after several minutes: • restart the phone • check internet connectivity • retry installation if necessary Need help?
