Install eSIM on Android

Step-by-step guide to install your SILENS eSIM on Android smartphones.

Before you start

Android menus vary slightly between manufacturers such as Samsung, Pixel, Xiaomi, OnePlus, and others, but the process is generally the same. Before installing your eSIM, confirm the following: • Your Android device supports eSIM • The device is not carrier-locked if using international profiles • You have a stable internet connection, preferably Wi-Fi • Your SILENS QR code or activation details are available • Your phone battery is above 20% Important notes: • An eSIM profile can usually be installed only once • Installing the profile does not immediately consume data unless you begin using the connection • During installation your device must remain connected to the internet

Method 1 - Install with QR Code (Recommended)

This is the fastest and most reliable installation method. Step 1 Open Settings on your Android device. Step 2 Navigate to the mobile network settings. Depending on the device, this may be located under: • Network & Internet • Connections • SIM Manager • Mobile Network Step 3 Tap one of the following options: • Add eSIM • Download SIM • Add Mobile Plan • Add SIM Step 4 Choose Scan QR Code. The camera scanner will open. Step 5 Scan the SILENS QR code provided with your order. Make sure: • the QR code is fully visible • lighting is sufficient • the camera focuses properly Step 6 Your device will connect to the carrier server and begin downloading the eSIM profile. This usually takes 10-60 seconds. Step 7 Follow the prompts to: • confirm installation • label the SIM if desired • choose how the line will be used Step 8 Once complete, the eSIM will appear in your SIM or Mobile Network list.

Method 2 - Manual Installation

If QR scanning is unavailable, you can install using manual activation details. Step 1 Open Settings -> Mobile Network or SIM Manager Step 2 Tap Add eSIM or Add Mobile Plan Step 3 Choose Enter Details Manually Step 4 Enter the activation information from your SILENS order: • SM-DP+ Address • Activation Code These values are case sensitive. Step 5 Confirm installation and wait while the device downloads the profile.

After installation

Once the eSIM profile has been installed: Enable the line Go to: Settings -> SIM Manager or Mobile Network and ensure the SILENS eSIM is enabled. Choose data SIM if multiple SIMs are active Select the preferred line for: • Mobile Data • Calls • SMS Data-only plans should be selected only for data usage. Verify roaming settings Some travel profiles require Data Roaming to be enabled. You can check this in: Settings -> Mobile Network -> Data Roaming Wait for network registration Signal may appear within 30-120 seconds. If not, try: • toggling the eSIM off and on • switching Airplane Mode on and off • restarting the device

Troubleshooting

eSIM download fails Check the following: • internet connection is stable • QR code was scanned correctly • profile was not already installed previously Then try the installation again. eSIM installed but no signal Try the following steps: • restart the phone • toggle Airplane Mode on and off • toggle the eSIM profile off and back on • confirm Data Roaming is enabled if required Profile already used Most eSIM profiles can be installed only once. If the QR code reports it was already used: • check if the profile was installed on another device • check if it is already present in your SIM list Still not working?
